Why Serve God & Still Don’t Believe

Why do so many go to a place of worship and not know whoor why they are worshiping? How can so many go time and time again and still don’t believe in the God that they worship?
Some of us have heard the word of God and in our lives have witness the move of God personally and we still don’t believe. From generations to generations the nature of man has not changed. The children of Israel witness the move of God in the wilderness, yet they still did not believe consistently from one trial to another. They provoked God in their unbelief – constantly wanting Him to prove himself.
Could it be that there is insecurity in us? Could it be that we are unable to go from one trial to another with the same faith and know that God is able? Are we that feeble minded that we are unable to hold on to faith after what we have heard through the word of God?
The word of God was written for our learning and we still are hard of hearing and refuse to learn what Jesus came to do. We insist on going our own way and establishing our own truth instead of standing on the truth that was laid from the foundation of the world.
We must believe against that which we know to be true through our carnal eye sight. We must believe beyond what we see and hear and call those things that are not as though they were. Abraham believed God despite his present condition; Rom. 4:18-22 (Abraham) 18: Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19: And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21: And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22: And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
There are many heroes of faith spoken about in the bible for us to have hope and to hope against hope and wait patiently until God performs his word. Hew. 10:35&36 35: Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36: For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
As Paul states Gal. 2:20 20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
The faith that we are given to live this life is given by the Son of God. If we don’t believe, then we are not saved because He (Jesus) stated that: Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
See, there must be faith first before anything else. Our walk with God begins with our faith in His Son Jesus Christ. From that measure of faith, we can spring forth into a deeper walk with God.
Don’t waste your life in unbelief and miss the life that God has predestine for you. Don’t go day after day, week after week, and month after month to worship and in your heart you really don’t believe and miss God when time is up. A man out of a multitude of people had faith but still had unbelief; Mar. 9:23 23: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24: And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
He ask Jesus to help his unbelief. We all will have unbelief in us from time to time. The key is to not to let it hinder us from wanting to believe and asking for help from Him who is able to help.
Be encouraged and know that God is faithful to perform that which he has spoken over your life.
